Classic Hamburger RecipeIngredients: 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey or lean ground beef, 1 cup of bread crumbs, 1 egg, 1/4 cup diced onions, 2 tablespoons butter, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper.
Directions: Mix turkey, bread crumbs, egg, onions, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Shape into 4 patties.
Melt butter in large heavy skillet over medium heat. Add patties and cook, turning once to brown other side. If using turkey, cook until golden brown outside and white inside. If using beef, cook until brown on the outside and no longer pink on the inside, about 10 minutes.
Serve with toasted whole wheat buns, lettuce, tomatoes and condiments.
