Learn How to Organize Your Home Room by Room and Clear the Clutter Forever!
Learn how to organize your home and start clearing out the clutter in your life. The results will be a happier and simplified home life. If you’re looking to organize your whole house or just one room, you’ve come to the right place. Last year as I was packing to move into our dream home, my mom commented that everyone should move at least once every ten years. Moving gives us an awesome opportunity to clean out the clutter. I had my chance and cleaned out the clutter twice. You see, two days before escrow was to close, with everything packed up, the buyer on our home backed out claiming “serious illness”. We couldn’t go through with the purchase of the dream home and we were heart broken. But… on the bright side as I unpacked our whole house, I was able to clear out more clutter! The end result is a home that is more organized than before. Clearing out the clutter is necessary to good home organization. As you work on clearing out clutter, ask yourself four simple questions: - Do I want this?
- Do I need this?
- Do I use this?
- Do I love this?
If you have pack rat tendencies and answered yes any of these questions, then ask yourself why and really get brutal with yourself, or you will never break the clutter habit. One way to stop pack rat tendencies is to find a non pack rat to help you clear out the clutter. They will ask the brutal questions to help declutter your home. I like to set a timer for 30 minutes and work fast, so when the bell goes off, I know I'm done. Rooms like the kitchen will require more time. Just remember you can break these projects down and use the timer too. You'll be amazed how much you can get done when you use the clock to challenge yourself. Remember to start small and your progress will motivate you to tackle bigger projects. Once you've learned how to organize your home and apply the easy principles in the links below, it only requires simple maintenance. Just get started and you will feel great!
