Classic Meatballs and Crispy Meatballs Recipes

Here are two fabulous recipes for a family staple everyone loves.

Meatballs are a wonderful versatile protein source that kids love.

You can eat meatballs alone, pair with sauce and pasta, or make a sandwich with sauce and melted mozzarella. Yum!

Classic Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients: 1 pound lean ground beef, 1 onion chopped, 1/2 cup fresh parsley chopped, 1 cup bread crumbs, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper.

Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix meat, onion, parsley, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper with hands until mixed through. Shape into uniform balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serves 4-6

Crispy Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients: 1/4 cup chopped onions, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 pounds lean ground beef, 2 eggs, 1 1/4 cup bread crumbs, 1/2 cup low fat milk, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1 teaspoon onion powder, and 1 teaspoon minced garlic.

Directions: Preheat oven 400° F. Heat oil in small skillet and cook onions until translucent. Mix onions and remaining ingredients (setting aside 3/4 cup of breadcrumbs) with hands and shape into balls. Spread reserved bread crumbs on a plate and roll balls in bread crumbs until coated. Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serves 4-6
